Joe Nethery (he/him)
BES, MPA, MCIP, RPP, FOUNDER/PRINCIPAL
Joe is in his eighteenth year of practice. He has learned the 2025 Blue Jays were not frauds after all.
Denise Landry (she/her)
MCIP RPP, PRINCIPAL PLANNER
Denise Landry is a Registered Professional Planner with thirteen years of experience in the municipal sector, at both the local and regional municipal levels. She has recently transitioned to the role of Principal Planner within Nethery Planning, where she will utilize her skills to support municipalities and the development community in the creation of places and spaces for everyone. In her free time, Denise believes in giving back to the planning profession through her mentorship and guidance to new planners entering the field.
Michelle Diplock (she/her)
M.PL, MCIP, RPP, PRINCIPAL PLANNER
Michelle Diplock is a Registered Professional Planner with seven years' experience. Passionate about the next generation of land use professionals, Michelle contributes as a part-time professor to Mohawk College’s School of Urban and Regional Planning and has worked with planning and engineering public policy classes at various other universities. She is also a member of the Ontario Professional Planners Institute’s Government and Public Relations Committee.
Emily Stanley (she/her)
BA(HONS), MA, RPP, MCIP, SENIOR PLANNER
Emily is a professional planner whose experience covers: planning for the aging population, community engagement, and rural planning. Emily brings project management skills, fine attention to detail, and a genuine passion to each of her development and policy projects. No matter the season, you will likely find Emily with an iced coffee in hand.
Raida Chowdhury (she/her)
BES, PLANNER
Raida is a graduate from the University of Waterloo School of Planning with a diverse background in provincial policy research and municipal planning. She currently serves on the Canadian Institute of Planners Board of Directors as a Director-at-Large focusing on Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility. She is as passionate about producing thorough, impactful planning policy as she is about finding Toronto’s best fried chicken sandwich.
Jen Chantler (she/her)
BURPI., BA, PLANNER
Jen brings expertise in development review, policy research, and community engagement from over eight years of diverse experience in municipal government. She holds degrees in Urban and Regional Planning and Sociology and recently completed a Certificate in Public Policy and Administration. With a passion for collaborative and strategic planning, she strives to build sustainable and inclusive communities through clear and innovative policy development. When she's not working or scuba diving, she enjoys taking her two kids to museums and going for car rides with her chocolate lab.
Diana Vasu (she/her)
PLANNER
Diana Vasu is a Planner experienced in municipal planning and administration. She is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Rural Planning and Development from the University of Guelph and already holds a Master and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Brock University. Her professional and academic experiences have her convinced that good planning policies can save the world. Diana typically spends her time outside of work chasing butterflies through her garden with Diva, her aptly named rescue pup.
Bryn McConvey (he/him)
PLANNING ASSISTANT
Bryn McConvey is a fourth-year Urban Planning undergraduate at the University of Waterloo, currently completing his fourth co-op term with Nethery this summer. He has a background in development review and Provincial policy and has completed the land development specialization as part of his undergraduate studies. Bryn has always been drawn to urban planning for its ability to integrate diverse facets of a community into a cohesive, dynamic system. On a personal level, growing up with access to peaceful suburban natural linkages—where he could walk his dog and connect with the environment—has reinforced his passion for the field and its impact on quality of life.
Bea Kwak (she/her)
BACS, MPA, MANAGER, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Bea graduated from the Master of Public Administration program in the School of Policy Studies at Queen's University in 2024 and is currently enrolled in Seneca College’s Sustainable Planning & Development program. She is passionate about the arts, better city building, and community development. Fascinated by AI, Bea brings a dynamic and forward-thinking approach to her work. When she’s not in front of her computer writing housing fanfic, you’ll find her on the beach with her dog, Gracie.
Jennifer Freckelton (she/her)
PLANNING TECHNICIAN
Jennifer Freckelton is a GIS Technician and honours graduate of Mohawk College’s Urban and Regional Planning GIS program. In GIS, she brings a thoughtful, detail‑driven approach and has used her skills to create mapping methodologies, StoryMaps, and interactive dashboards. Jennifer also brings strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite and AutoCAD, along with analytical strengths that enable her to produce precise drafting, zoning analysis, compelling graphics, and public‑facing materials that support clear and accessible documents. Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys collecting cacti and curling up with a blanket and a good book.
Nicole Root (she/her)
MANAGER, BUSINESS OPERATIONS
Nicole Root is an experienced Administrative and Communications professional with over a decade of experience supporting C-suite executives and leading high-performing administrative teams. She brings a strategic approach to both internal and external communications, ensuring clarity, consistency, and impact across all organizational messaging. With an educational background in Communications and Journalism, Nicole has consistently applied her expertise to strengthen internal communications, craft official company statements, write press releases, and coordinate media and marketing initiatives. Outside of work, you’ll usually find Nicole creating adventures with her husband and two daughters—exploring local artisan markets and hunting down the best hidden gem food and wine spots.
Asad Tauseef (he/him)
BUSINESS ANALYST
Asad Tauseef is a Mathematics student at the University of Waterloo with a strong interest in finance, accounting, and data-driven decision-making. He brings hands-on experience in invoicing, budget tracking, financial reconciliation, marketing, and project support within a planning and consulting environment. With a sharp analytical mindset and exceptional attention to detail, Asad focuses on turning complex financial and project data into clear, actionable insights that improve organizational efficiency and support informed decision-making. Outside of work and academics, Asad is passionate about mixed martial arts, including wrestling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, where he builds discipline, focus, and resilience to carry into all aspects of his professional life.
